Alençon Fabric by Pierre Frey Group
A design by Pierre Frey. Alençon has the poised character of a woven landscape: trees, foliage and softened ground tones gathered into a jacquard with real depth and presence. The palette feels earthy and measured, allowing the pattern to read as something atmospheric rather than declarative, with the texture giving it the slow richness of a cloth designed to be lived with. Its composition of 95% acrylic and 5% polyamide, together with the jacquard construction, gives the fabric a practical clarity beneath its decorative surface. High lightfastness, mould resistance, and stain- and water-repellent qualities make it well suited to moderate use, where a fabric needs to retain its composure as well as its visual character. At 136 cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 68 cm, Alençon can be considered for upholstery or other interior applications where a scenic motif is desired without losing ease.
