Holman Hunt draws on the romantic intensity of William Holman Hunt’s portraiture and the enveloping presence of traditional paisley cloth. Its deep crimson colouring brings a quietly dramatic warmth, while the loose float weave gives the surface a softly dimensional character and a feeling of cosiness. Woven for considered interiors, it is suited to upholstery, cushions and other decorative applications where texture and depth matter. Designed by Hodsoll McKenzie for the 1851 collection.
