Chapan draws on the expressive geometry of traditional 17th-century Uzbek ikat weaving, reinterpreted through Etamine’s Ailleurs collection. Its intricate pattern is created by screen-printing the warp threads in 12 stages before weaving, preserving a layered, nuanced colour effect. Crafted in the Kerala region of India, the fabric combines a dense BCI cotton warp of 5900 threads with a premium silk weft, giving the design a beautifully textured presence and gentle depth. With its eclectic, bohemian character, Chapan is suited to considered upholstery, soft furnishings and decorative window treatments. Fabric width: 139 cm. Pattern repeat: 45 cm wide × 62 cm high. Composition: 60% cotton, 40% silk.
