A design by Pierre Frey. Wanly has the kind of surface that changes as you move around it: a velvety, lustrous ground carrying a lively chinoiserie rhythm in blue, touched with green, pink and gold. The design feels both decorative and composed, with its repeating animals, birds and floral notes giving the fabric an expressive, almost story-like presence. In an interior, it could bring depth to upholstery, a softened brilliance to drapery, or a more atmospheric note wherever pattern is meant to do the quiet work of the room. It is a jacquard velvet with a vertical repeat of 67 cm and a width of 139 cm, composed of 77% viscose and 23% polyester, and intended for normal use.
