A design by Pierre Frey. Midsommar has the easy structure of a plaid, but its printed surface keeps it from feeling too strict; the stripes layer with a painterly looseness, bringing colour, movement and a quietly spirited character to a room. The palette reads with a gentle vibrancy, so the cloth feels at home where a space needs pattern that is present without becoming heavy. Made in a linen and cotton blend and printed with a vertical repeat of 46 cm, it offers a considered balance between texture and drawing. In an interior, it can bring a fresh, tailored note wherever a decorative fabric is wanted, with enough character to stand alone and enough clarity to sit comfortably with more restrained materials around it.
