Pierre Frey Ikati Fabric
A design by Pierre Frey. Ikati has the kind of woven presence that immediately gives a room movement: tall multicolour motifs, softened by the irregularity of an ikat effect, and a surface that feels both graphic and relaxed. The palette moves across white, ivory, cream, taupe, grey, blue and green, creating a gentle cadence rather than a hard repeat, which makes the fabric easy to place in interiors that need character without heaviness. Woven as a jacquard and made in France in an EPV Living Heritage Mill, it carries the quiet authority of a well-made cloth, with the texture and drawing doing most of the work. In an interior, it would suit moderate use on upholstered pieces, where its pattern can animate a chair, banquette or occasional sofa, or bring a fuller, more expressive note to curtains and soft furnishings.
