A design by Pierre Frey. Ascain has the poised presence of a fabric that works softly in a room while still giving it structure. Its fine vertical striation brings a gentle rhythm to the surface, with muted teal-green tones that feel calm rather than decorative, and the jacquard weave adds a restrained depth that becomes more apparent as the light shifts across it. There is a distinctly tactile impression to it: closely woven, even, and composed, with the kind of surface interest that reads as refined from a distance and more intricate close up.Made in 100 % acrylic, Ascain is designed with intensive use in mind and carries high lightfastness alongside stain-, water- and mould-resistant properties. That makes it especially suited to upholstery and other interiors where a fabric is expected to hold its composure as well as its colour.
