A design by Pierre Frey. Copenhagen has the easy presence of a fabric that brings movement to a room without disturbing its balance. The surface reads in vertical bands and stepped blocks, with a rhythm that feels graphic yet softened by the woven character of the cloth. Its colour range is layered rather than loud, allowing the pattern to sit comfortably across upholstery or other interior applications where a considered, moderate use is desired.Woven as a jacquard, it has the tactility and visual depth that give a scheme a little more structure. The cotton and jute content lends a natural, slightly textural impression, while the small added fibres support the fabric’s finish and handling. At 139 cm wide, Copenhagen may be especially useful where a tailored, patterned textile is wanted for seats, cushions, or decorative applications that benefit from both presence and restraint.
