Rayure Bivouac by Pierre Frey
A design by Pierre Frey. Rayure Bivouac is all about colour laid in generous bands, with a woven surface that softens the boldness of the stripe. Red, brown, yellow, blue, green and cream move across the cloth in a lively sequence, giving it the feeling of something both grounded and spirited. As a jacquard, the drawing carries a pleasant depth rather than a flat printed effect, so the surface feels quietly worked and full of presence. At 130 cm wide, it lends itself well to upholstery and other interior applications where pattern needs to hold a room with confidence. The vertical repeat of 189 cm suggests a design with scale and a more expansive rhythm, suited to settings that can give it space to breathe. Its fibre blend of cotton, wool, acrylic and polyester gives the cloth a tactile balance of softness, structure and resilience, while the declared intensive-use suitability makes it especially thoughtful for pieces that are lived with every day.
