Le Manach Tigre Velours Fabric

A design by Le Manach. Tigre Velours is all about contrast: a warm tan-gold ground crossed with bold black striping, giving the fabric a strong graphic rhythm softened by the depth of velvet. The surface reads lustrous and textured at once, with the quiet opulence that comes from silk, linen and cotton working together in close weave. It has the presence of something decorative without feeling overstated, which makes it especially compelling where pattern is meant to animate a room rather than dominate it. Woven in Pierre Frey's workshop in northern France, it carries the character of a living textile tradition, with a hand and finish that invite close looking. In an interior, it may bring a dramatic focal note, especially where colour, drawing and surface are allowed to play against calmer surroundings.
