A design by Le Manach. Cavaillon has the poised calm of a fabric that reveals itself gradually: a cream ground, narrow vertical striping and small floral notes that sit lightly across the surface. The palette feels restrained yet warm, with blue, brown and yellow bringing just enough movement to keep the drawing from becoming formal. It is a fabric with a gentle rhythm, suited to rooms that benefit from pattern kept close to the cloth rather than announced from a distance.Woven as a jacquard and made in Pierre Frey’s workshop in northern France, Cavaillon carries the reassuring presence of craft in the hand and in the way the motif is built into the cloth. Its blend of linen, cotton and wool gives it a grounded, textural character, while the repeat lends itself naturally to curtain making, where the verticality and small-scale pattern can read with particular grace. It is the kind of textile that can bring a measured softness to an interior, especially when paired with wood, plaster, aged brass or painted surfaces with depth.
