Tapa Fabric

A design by Pierre Frey. Tapa has the ease of a pale ground, animated by a dark, irregular line and a scattered dotted movement that gives the surface its character. The effect is contemporary but not hard-edged: graphic enough to define a room, yet relaxed in the way the print settles across the cloth. In linen, the design carries a natural tactility that feels especially at home in interiors that favour clarity, texture, and a softly composed mood. It can bring structure to upholstery, drapery, or decorative schemes where a subtle sense of pattern is enough to sharpen the atmosphere without overpowering it. The vertical repeat of 136 cm suggests a considered, architectural rhythm when used across larger lengths of fabric.
