A design by Pierre Frey. Mariefred has the gentle discipline of a stripe, then softens it with small floral sprigs that read like a light hand across the surface. The palette feels restrained and warm, with beige grounding the cloth and muted touches of pink and brown bringing just enough movement to keep it alive. It carries the calm, decorative ease of a fabric that can sit comfortably in both tailored and more romantic interiors.Printed in France at an EPV Living Heritage Mill, it is made in 100% cotton and has the reassuring tactility associated with a well-made furnishing cloth. At 140 cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 20 cm, it offers a measured pattern that may lend itself beautifully to curtains, blinds, cushions or light upholstery, depending on the room and the way it is intended to be used. Mariefred is the sort of fabric that works quietly: it shapes atmosphere through rhythm, surface and proportion rather than through any single loud gesture.
