A design by Pierre Frey. Les Marquises is defined by its generous scale and the quiet contrast between the beige ground and the white embroidery. The drawing has the freshness of palm fronds and flowering forms, yet the effect remains poised rather than exuberant, with the handmade stitch lending surface and depth as the pattern unfolds across the cloth. In a room, it brings a measured sense of movement and a distinctly tactile presence, well suited to drapery or statement upholstery where pattern can be allowed to breathe. Its linen and cotton composition gives the fabric a grounded, natural character, while the embroidered finish adds richness and a more intimate, crafted feel.
