Landscape I

Using the original machines still in operation at our Venice factory, we have developed new techniques that extend the processes established by Mariano Fortuny over a century ago to create a collection of fabric landscapes that recall the natural world. The textiles of LANDSCAPE I stem from the patterns found in marble and on time-worn stone. Landscape I functions as a textile surface rather than a graphic motif. Its layered texture recalls stone shaped by time, lending interiors a quiet architectural presence and material depth. Part of the POLPO Collection.
