A design by Pierre Frey. Ukiyoe carries a vivid, collage-like rhythm: figural scenes and landscape vignettes gathered across a pale ground, with colour moving in lively passages rather than in a single strict repeat. The effect is atmospheric and expressive, somewhere between picture and textile, with the linen giving the print a dry, tactile presence that keeps the design feeling grounded. As a printed fabric in 100% linen, it lends itself to interiors that welcome pattern with confidence — curtains that bring movement to a room, or upholstery and decorative applications where a more pictorial surface can add depth and character. The vertical repeat of H: 140 cm / 55,11 inch suggests a design that opens well across broader lengths, allowing the scenes to read with clarity as the fabric is used.
