A design by Pierre Frey. Simone has the calm restraint of a fabric designed to sit beautifully in a room without asking for attention. Its surface reads as softly hairy and matte, with a gentle, tactile depth that lends warmth to upholstery and other interior schemes. The composition brings together virgin wool, cotton, polyamide, polyester and viscose, giving the cloth a rounded material character that feels both composed and lived-in. With a width of 140 cm, it is suited to moderate use and works well where a fabric is chosen for atmosphere as much as for function. It may be considered for upholstery and other soft furnishings when a quietly textural, plain ground is wanted.
