A design by Pierre Frey. Darya is a fabric defined first by its surface: densely worked, softly dimensional and alive with a vertical striation that gives the cloth an easy sense of movement. The palette feels layered rather than flat, with blue, brown and gold notes drawing through the texture and lending it a quiet depth. As an épinglé velvet, it has a tactile presence that suits rooms where fabric is meant to be felt as much as seen.Its character makes it well placed for normal use in interiors where a little visual warmth and material substance are desired. On a window, cushion or occasional upholstery scheme, it can bring colour without noise, and structure without severity. The vertical repeat supports the fabric’s drawn, tailored feeling, while the blend of viscose Bemberg and cotton suggests a soft but disciplined hand.
