A design by Pierre Frey. Clarence has the calm brightness of a cream ground lifted by spaced embroidered botanical motifs in green, blue, rust and gold. The drawing feels rhythmic rather than busy, with each repeat leaving room for the linen-like lightness of the surface to read clearly. There is a pleasing tactility to the embroidered work, giving the fabric a sense of hand and depth without losing its refined ease. The cloth is composed of 35 % Cotton, 28 % Polyester, 16 % Viscose, 16 % Linen, 4 % Acrylic and 1 % Jute, and it measures 139 cm wide with a vertical repeat of H: 63 cm. The embroidery technique, including handcrafted embroidery, gives the pattern its particular character and makes it especially suited to interiors that benefit from texture, colour and a quietly expressive decorative note.
