A design by Pierre Frey. Alula has the character of a fabric that catches the eye quietly, through its narrow striped rhythm and the softly textured presence of a jacquard weave. The palette moves across multiple tones with an ease that keeps the surface animated without feeling busy, giving it a layered, tactile quality that sits well in both tailored and more relaxed interiors. Woven in a blend of cotton, wool, acrylic and polyester, it brings together a pleasing material depth with the practical strength suited to intensive use. At 130 cm wide with a vertical repeat of 32 cm, it is a fabric that could lend structure to upholstery, cushions or decorative schemes where colour, pattern and texture are meant to work together rather than compete.
