Street Diptyque fabric by Pierre Frey

A design by Pierre Frey. Street Diptyque has the charged, painterly energy of an abstract gesture held against a lighter ground, with looping black-and-white markings and touches of colour that keep the surface moving. The effect is bold but not rigid: there is enough air between the motifs to let the eye travel, while the denser passages create a lively rhythm that can bring animation to a room without overwhelming it. Woven in 100% cotton and printed in France at an EPV Living Heritage Mill, it carries the clarity and tactility one looks for in a fabric that is meant to be both seen and lived with. At 175 cm wide, it lends itself to upholstery, curtains or other interior applications where a graphic presence and a soft, natural handle are welcome. The vertical repeat of H: 173 cm suggests a large-scale pattern with a considered cadence, best appreciated where the drawing can breathe.
