A design by Pierre Frey. Tao has the calm discipline of a small-scale check, softened by the warmth of its woven surface and the depth of its mixed neutral tones. Beige, brown, grey and black settle into one another with an understated rhythm, giving the fabric a composed presence that feels both structured and tactile. The jacquard weave brings subtle drawing to the surface, while the blend of cotton, wool, virgin wool, polyamide and silk adds a refined sense of material complexity.Made in France at an EPV Living Heritage Mill, Tao carries the assurance of careful craft and is suited to intensive use. It would sit well on upholstered pieces that call for visual order and a quietly layered hand, bringing texture without noise and enough character to hold a room together.
